ALLIS activities

Each year there are several activities which encourage the networking of staff from each of the library sectors. Visits to Prison Libraries, Music Libraries and Academic libraries take place regularly. An annual conference is held which encourages the development of front line staff. Each year we have two monetary opportunities for staff; a bursary for training and the Staff Development Award where staff are invited from all member institutions to submit a project that encourages staff development.

Each year at the Annual General Meeting we have a visiting speaker and invite any staff from the member libraries to attend. As well as hearing a speakers such as John Vincent, the award winners get the chance to inspire and motivate others by discussing their project.
